After arriving home, the boards are rough cut to approximate dimensions.

Here is the hardware for the long hive - hinges, latches and chain parts.

Here is one of the long sides prepared with the rabbet for the frame rest.

An eight inch opening is cut for an entrance in one of the short ends.

The bottom is a series of boards screwed so they can move. We may tongue and groove them in the future to avoid gaps.

The bottom is attached, with a landing board in front.

These are the supports for the porch roof.

The roof is now attached to the supports.
